The Family Encouragement Weekends (FEW Conference) began in 2008 out of a desire to provide encouragement to families. As the darkness is increasing across our land, it is hightime to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us SV102984 therefore cast off the works of darkness and let us put on the armor of light. Let us put on the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision for the flesh (Rom. 13:13-14).

The Scriptures say, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; _MG_0038but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Be not thou  therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord………but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began (2Tim. 1:7-9).

Christ has a plan for the Biblical family: A plan for good and not for evil to bring us to an expected end (Jer. 29:11). Why would _MG_0158 we desire anything else? The world is calling and the flesh would bid us go. May we stand faithful while remembering that with Christ as our Shepherd, we shall not want (Ps. 23:1).

The Family Encouragement Weekend was started to remind families that Christ is sufficient. As families embrace this truth, the results will be powerful as the foundations of many generations are raised up and the world around us impacted for Christ.

It is an inspiring weekend where imperfect families come together around our Lord _MG_0026and Savior Jesus Christ to exhort one another towards Godly living in the midst of this crooked and perverse generation among whom we have been called to shine (Phil. 2:14). The goal is to encourage families in their God-given callings and purposes. Through working together we can be salt and light to our culture and provide a legacy for future generations.
